In it he complained of the lift seeming to operate independently in the dead of night. He would hear it ascending as he sat alone at the summit of the building. Who knows what goes on in the minds of the lone overnight operator.<br /><br />One Golden Square, home now to all Bauer London stations of course, had its fair share of rumoured apparitions. When they occurred Adam Bowie would gleefully remind everyone that the Square had been the site of a plague pit. The one that sticks in the mind - though it may have been a stunt - was a jukebox playing the voice of Michael Hutchence singing 'I'm lonely' at a seemingly late hour.
