Back ...Very interesting bit about source recording. Back in in the 1980s, my Swiss/Italian station was already doing that. In the days before VT-ing, all live sources were recorded separately so, for example, a dry recording of the live 1800 news bulletin could be repeated at 1900 (after the newsreader had left), and links could be re-used in weekend 'best ofs'.
